| Adult Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program Enrolling New Class January 2007! The Adult Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program is a two year advanced training intended for mental health professionals currently practicing psychotherapy who wish to enhance their clinical skills in the direction of dynamic psychotherapy. Upon completion of the training, the clinicians will have acquired broad based theoretical knowledge and enhanced clinical skills. Course Description Covers historical and contemporary perspectives including: Drive Theory, Ego Psychology, Object Relations Theory, and Self Psychology In addition, there will be a focus on developmental studies of infancy through adulthood, psychopathology, and therapeutic technique. Clinical case presentations will be integrated into the program and further provide opportunity for discussion of case material. Seminar groups will be limited in size and will meet for 3 hours weekly for a total of 30 weeks. In addition, the candidates are expected to participate in the Saturday Scientific Meetings of the Tampa Bay Psychoanalytic Society. The program is organized into 3 parts: 1. Two Years of Seminars 2. Personal Psychotherapy or Psychoanalysis 3. Clinical Consultation on Psychotherapy Cases View Program Requirements Eligibility The program is open to mental health professionals who are currently practicing psychotherapy with individuals, groups, or couples. All participants must be licensed/license eligible in the State of Florida and have malpractice insurance coverage.
